    • Sex (spayed or neutered if known)
    • Identifying marks
    • Picture
    • Date lost/found/stolen
  2. Contact your breeder
  3. Contact Mid-Atlantic Basenji Club in you are in the Mid Atlantic region
  4. Contact local veterinarians and animal shelters in your area
    Find a good listing on the WWW
    • Use search engine's "yellow pages"
    • Select the appropriate category (animal or veterinary), city/region and state information
  5. Prepare fliers and place them everywhere
    • Date lost/found/stolen
    • Include photo and description of dog (name if known)
    • Contact information
    • Medical or physical problems
    • Consider offering a reward
